The Stress Management Center (SMC) is therapy-based yoga center—the only one of it's kind in the Bay Area. We serve a community of people with stiff backs, sore knees, some injuries, and a variety of discomforts, such as heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, orthopedic issues, anxiety, depression, weight gain, joint health, and other movement issues. KAISER YOGA CLASSES (provided by SMC)

Sign up for Kaiser Classes! It is less expensive and may be closer to your home/workplace. SMC provides therapeutic yoga at Kaiser in Terra Linda and Petaluma and in Larkspur at SMC! You can sign up through Kaiser Health Education at 415.492.6352. Check our yoga schedule for days and times. All levels, ages, and bodies are welcome! NOTE: You do NOT need to be a Kaiser member to attend any of these classes!

Eva Yearsley is one of Mill Valley's most experienced yoga and pilates teachers, and you now have a weekly opportunity to practice with her in Marin! Join the KAISER PERMANENTE-sponsored Yoga Pilates II class with Eva for only $10 per session!!! Eva Yearsley has practiced the Joy of Yoga for over 14 years. Her active classes bring in the fluidity of a Vinyasa flow and the grounding of the Iyengar style of Hatha Yoga. Gentle classes focus on building strength, flexibility, and relaxation through slower movements. Her students enjoy her ever-changing classes and her upbeat, relaxing style. Class meets at SMC. Trinity Rose was introduced to yogic breath and asana at the age of 12 and it continues to be a central part of her life. Her teaching is deeply influenced by her study of Tai Chi, Qi Gong, Feldenkrais, Ayurveda and her 13-year career as a professional massage therapist. Trinity says, "My yoga practice has been a wonderfully reliable source of wisdom and connection, a place where I find intimacy with my body, mind and emotions. Skillful yoga opens us to life, and gives us the grounding, stability, grace, and skillfulness to engage it fully. It is my deep joy to share the richness I have found on the yogic path with others.” Join Trinity for a gentle, yet dynamic practice focused on restoring vitality; YOGA FOR STRESS RELIEF, Thursdays 6-7:15pm—appropriate for all levels.

Joy Rudy Joy has been practicing and studying yoga for 20 years. She completed her yoga certification at Piedmont Yoga in Oakland. She has been trained in yoga for people with disabilities, as well as yoga for Scoliosis. In 2014, Joy completed a 500-hour Yoga Therapy Teacher Training at The Stress Management Center of Marin.

Julie Howard Julie has been practicing Iyengar yoga for more than 20 years. She completed a 200-hour teacher training with Tony Briggs at the Yoga Loft in San Francisco, a 110-hour yoga teacher training with Kofi Busia (a long-time senior student of BKS Iyengar), and is certified to teach restorative poses. Her love of teaching comes through in her teachings, and her goal is to teach her students to take care of themselves through yoga. Julie is a Yoga Alliance-certified teacher and a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists.
